‘Tis the Season to be Jolly…

Well, the festive season is definitely in full swing. I’ve been busy making Christmas choccies, from funky -coloured cars to Christmas kisses, festive shortbreads, cake pops, hot choccie stirring spoons and gingerbread tree decorations.

 

I haven’t come across a child yet who has not enjoyed decorating a gingerbread for the tree (although I don’t think many have reached the tree!). Some icing and plenty of sprinkles are all you need, then let their imaginations go wild. The more icing and sprinkles the better I say!

Last weekend I created a ‘Polar Express’ children’s party tea for a client who was having a big party weekend in Allendale. I made a ‘Christmas tree of fruit’ as a centre piece. Not only did it look great but it meant that amongst all the (not so healthy) treats the children got to tuck in to lots of healthy fruit. I’m definitely going to make one for my Boxing day bash at home!
